“Steve Upham met with our Building
Committee, listened to our needs,
and proceeded to offer us a number
of different building concepts... based
on our experience I highly recommend
them. Everyone says it has great
acoustics. The congregation loves it!
We are pleased with everything about
it.You exceeded my expectations. This
is a design that you can and should
be proud of.”
—Dr. John Judson,
Your new church can be an invitation to
Church ministry begins with an invitation. The church building is the most visible representation of that invitation. As a church architecture specialist, Crosspointe Architects incorporates ‘architectural evangelism’ – the process of combining good building design with the outreach and evangelism goals of your church.
Crosspointe Architects is not just an architecture business that has designed a few churches. No, we’re much more than that. As a Christian architect, Steve Upham understands the challenges of a church's desire to grow versus the complexities of funding additional space. Our team is experienced and committed to deliver your worshippers a quality building in a timely fashion and will save money for your church in the process.
We offer a full range of architectural services – from building plans to planning workshops – you’ll find everything you need right here!
Whether your congregation is considering an entirely new facility, or adding on to an existing campus, the steps are similar. Our proven methods will assist you in the conceptual design process, with effective fundraising packages enabling your campaign to launch quickly, and the processes leading to construction plans.
We understand the process of church building
Construction of church buildings has become very complex with a large cast performing various roles within the project. Crosspointe Architects, as your designated church architect, can perform as your single point of contact.
Often, the first step in church building planning is to identify physical and spiritual goals with your congregation encouraging feedback and suggestions. Key to any successful building plan is to include the users in the design process. The Master-Site Plan and Conceptual Building Design should be developed together as a cohesive design. Crosspointe offers a unique preliminary design solution called the Design Summit Workshop. Call for the details - this is a unanimously successful approach.
What steps are involved in the church planning process?
The next step is presentation plans and artist’s renderings ( and perhaps a video animation) so you can launch your fundraising campaign. The next two steps are design development - where the details are finalized and, lastly, the construction drawings are completed from which building is built.
Our exclusive "Design Summit Workshop" provides a process for collective visual brainstorming between Crosspointe Architects and designated church members/leaders. This architectural building design process involves real building users (church people) to incorporate specific knowledge of the programs and mission which will improve the design itself and can compress the preliminary design process from many months to a few weeks.
The "Design Summit Workshop" - a unique creative process for better and faster building design solutions
Crosspointe Architects can provide you with the professional help you need throughout the planning process.
